David Kassai (Owner, Head Engineer)

My name is David Kassai and I am delighted to welcome you to Blackbuck Audio.

I grew up in Bandera, TX and began my music career as a Singer/Songwriter at the age of 16. In 2009, I released my first single, "Until the Music Dies" under my own record label, which achieved some success, reaching #89 on the Billboard Singer/Songwriter charts. Dissatisfied with the processes and expenses of working with "big box" studios, I decided to create my own.

In 2012, FireWave Productions was established, a Recording Studio in Boerne, TX. With the help of many mentors, it was voted one of the "Best Recording Studios in San Antonio" and I was awarded "Best Sound Engineer in San Antonio" in 2015. My experience with bands led to my passion for Front of House sound and producing live shows and events. I have had the pleasure to work at renowned venues such as Cheatham St. in San Marcos and Floore's Contry Store in Helotes, as well as various locations across Texas. 

In 2017, my wife, Lorah, and I moved to Denver, CO to pursue our education at Colorado University, where I studied Computer Engineering to gain a better understanding of the audio industry. After enjoying the mountain air, we decided to return home to Texas. 

At Blackbuck Audio, our aim is to provide Studio Quality Mobile Recording Services, Top-Notch Live Event Production, Memorable Weddings and Parties, and Accessible Mixing and Mastering to those who need it.
